This past weekend was the 3rd last round of the Wesbank Super Series, it was held Cape Town on the famous Killarney race track.
Going into race day Simon Moss (38) had to secure 18 points to wrap up the Championship Title which he seemed determined to do. As qualifying came Simon unleashed his true pace setting a lap time 0.657 seconds ahead of anybody else in the field. Simon managed to take pole position for both Race 1 and race 2.
In race 1 he had a flag to flag victory winning by 6,225s, no one was able to come close to the youngster as he was in a race of his own.
Race 2 was a repeat of race 1 although Moss had it tuff as he was pushing hard in the opening laps to get a lead, his car under steered of the track causing damage the the front floor board which left him with handling problems, however this was no enough to stop the Bay teenager from victory as he drove around the problems and pulled a lead of 4 seconds.
Simon Moss claimed victory, and is now crowned the 2010 FVW CHAMPION after a faultless season.
There are still 2 events left in the season 4 races up for grabs, below are Simon's stats for the season thus far with 14 races past:
He has won 10/14 races in which he finnished 2nd in 3 races and had 1 non finnish!
He has clamied 10/14 pole positions and the other 4 were all 2seconds..
Simon has had a superb season with 4 races left could he take the numbers to 14/18 race victories? only time will tell!
