Round 4, 2011 4th September

East London Grand prix circuit

Simon had battled the entire Friday, each session being more than 1 sec off the pace, however over night the team found an issue with his setup.

Qualifying

Qualifying took place on Saturday Morning, With a red flag putting the 10min session to a standstill Simon had 1 lap to jump himself up the grid which he managed to do by setting a time of 1min 18.9 which sealed him the 3rd spot for race one and 4th spot for race two on the starting line.

Race 1

Moss had a super start in race 1 jumping from 3rd to 2nd by the 1st turn he was pressurising Wolk for the lead, however as they entered the complex Moss had a slight problem as his accelerator stuck and caused him an off track excursion later causing him to retire from the 1st race after putting up a good fight for the lead.

Race 2

Simon started from 4th spot on the grid. With his race craft and experience he managed to jump the 3 competitors ahead of him charging into the distance as it looked like he had this victory in the bag , lady luck was not on his side though as the race was red flagged due to a backmarker rolling. After the restart Simon managed to move himself back into contention for the lead,  he ended up settling for 2nd spot.
